Process
Things we need to modify your drawings:
- CAD files (along with the copyright release from the original designer allowing you and us to modify the drawings).
- Sketches or description of the changes required: Though a proper sketch is preferred to interpret your change request accurately, we can also work from a photo/scan of an approximate, hand-drawn or a digitally marked, sketch.
Once we receive the required files and information, we will provide you with a quote within 1-2 business days along with a turnaround time depending on the workload at the time of the release.
Some stock plans come with detailed structural/framing calculations but please note that they will not be modified, as framing is best finalized in the field by the builder or a local structural engineer to ensure compliance with local building codes, site conditions, and construction practices. Any original framing details/sheets included with the plan set will remain in the drawings and should be used as reference information only.
Even if we modify the original plans to commonly accepted code standards, we strongly recommend that you verify whether your house plans require a review by a licensed local architect or engineer to ensure they meet your state, county, and city structural and code standards.
